My first Halloween!

So this weekend was my first Halloween.  And following in my Mommy and Daddy's footsteps, I think this is going to be a holiday I really like.  I can't eat the candy yet, so this year it was all about the clothing!  Mommy dressed me up as a pink little piggy...she and Daddy said I was the cutest little piglet they had ever seen.

We spent Halloween at our friend Tiffany's house with all my other baby friends - so much fun!

I'm not so sure about this costume thing....

Chicago

Last weekend we took a trip to Chicago.  Daddy has some friends from college living there, and he thought it was about time that he show Mommy the Windy City.  We had a lot of fun!  For the first two nights we stayed with Jenny & Mike, and their two kids Molly and Juliana.  We also met up with Rick and Becca several times, with their daughter, Jillian.  We had so much fun!

Mommy and Daddy said I did great on the airplane ride.  So now they are ready to take me to Hawaii next weekend.

Eating Solids!

Two days ago I had my first taste of solid food!  Mommy and Daddy decided to start with avacado (which is surprising since Mommy doesn't like avacado at all...but I guess she doesn't want me to pick up on her bad food habits!).  It went really well...the first bite I was really unsure...I've had nothing but Mommy's milk and formula since I was born so it was definitely a different sensation.  But by bite number 2 I was hooked!

Now I get avacado for a few more days, and then I get to move onto a new food (I think it will be oatmeal next).  Daddy took a video of me eating the food for the first time, but we are currently having some technical difficulties getting it uploaded.  We'll update this blog entry as soon as we figure it out.  In the meantime, here are some still pictures that Daddy took.  Can wait for the world of different foods that awaits me now!

Update 10/9/10 7:52PM: Technical difficulties resolved!  We now have the video uploaded to YouTube!  Scroll to the bottom of this blog post to find the video.  Enjoy!

Rolling Over

Wow, has it really been a full month since our last post?  We have been seriously delinquent in posting photos -- and it's hasn't been due to lack of activity, either!  Grandma and Papa visited in September and I got to spend lots of bonding time with them.  And Mommy and I have been enjoying our last month together before she goes back to work.  That's right -- she made the decision to go back to work part-time, and she starts next week.  I'm a little sad that Mommy and I can't continue to spend every day together, but am also happy that it means I'll gets lots of time with Nona.

We promise to post more pictures soon from September, but in the meantime, here is a video that Daddy took of me rolling over.  I've gotten really good at it now!  Mommy and Daddy can no longer leave me even for a minute because I'll end up on the other side of the room!

New outfit

Here's a picture that Mommy took of me wearing my new outfit from my Great-Grandma (GG).  Look how cute I look!  I've been wearing the top for a few weeks now, but the pants were a little too big for me at first.  But now they fit great!  (I guess that means I'm growing- yippee!)

Thank-you, GG!

Bike Trip and Picnic

Happy September!

It's hard to believe that it is September already.  Summer has gone by so fast.  But we sure finished August with a bang!  The weekend before last, Mommy and Daddy took me to La Conner.  We had so much fun with everyone.  Nona and Grandpa were there, and even Ethan joined us!  (Nona and Grandpa took him with them so Uncle Rob and Aunt Jenny could have their first weekend alone with Luke).  I didn't get to go on the bikes this time, since I was too little for even the bike trailer (you have to be able to hold up your head by yourself...I'm getting close though!).  But next year they promised I would get to ride with them.  And I had so much fun with Aunt Linda who took care of me while Mommy and Daddy rode their bikes.  Thanks, Aunt Linda!!

Last weekend we had our first picnic with all of the PEPS moms, daddies, and babies.  This was the first time that the Daddies got to meet each other.  The weather held out and we had lots of fun.  It went so well, that we are already planning our next outing for the mommies and daddies.

Hope everyone had a great August and here's hoping for an even better September!!
