First Birthday Party!

Okay, so I know that I'm not one years old, yet....but I'm getting close!  And all the babies in Mommy's PEPS group are turning one in the next month...I'm one of the youngest.  So all the mommies decided to throw us one big birthday party celebration, and the daddies came too!  It was so much fun.  It was my first introduction to cake and frosting -- and even real sugar.  Even though every other baby loved the treat...I sure didn't.  I had fun playing in the frosting, but I definitely had no interest in eating it.

Mommy is hoping I'll like it better when I get it for my second try -- at my real first birthday party next month!

Dressing Up

It's been awhile since I've posted, so here's a quick one that includes several recent pics of me from January and February.  Most recently, Mommy has really enjoyed dressing me up in cute dresses, skirts, and other outfits.  She says I'm getting cuter and cuter every day!

January and so far in February has been pretty rough in our house -- with all the illnesses going around.  It started out with me getting a cold in early January, and then Daddy catching it.  I caught the Stomach Flu just last week and then passed it on to Mommy who is experiencing it now.  Mommy calls me her little petri dish.  I don't know what that means, but it sounds good!

Baker and Babies

Last weekend, Mommy, Daddy, and I had a trip planned to go to Mt. Baker and stay with several friends from Mommy's PEPS group.  Unfortunately, Daddy was sick, so he had to stay home.  I missed him, but still had a great time!  We stayed in a house with 4 other babies and their parents.  Mostly we hung out at the house together, playing, taking turns napping, and eating.  On Saturday, Tim, one of the daddies (and the host of the house) led us on a snow-shoeing adventure (which ended up being "first tracks"!).

Mommy said I was a different baby when I got home.  I'm happier, more content when she leaves the room for a moment, and overall just a better baby.  She thinks I grew up a little from the experience.  (I think she's right -- so maybe she needs to give me some brothers and sisters so I constantly have friends around).  :)

January 2011

2011 didn't start out great for me...but hopefully that just means that it'll just get better from here.  I came home from Whistler with a cold, which peaked on Sunday when Mommy had to stay home from the Seahawks Playoff game in order to be with me (I may have been miserable, but at least the Seahawks won!).  But after about a week I was feeling SOOO much better.  I'm healthy again and plan to stay this way for a long time.  :)

Here are some pictures of me from this month.  Happy 2011!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my favorite people!

We rang in the New Year with a bang!  Originally, we were planning to go to the Crystal Cabin for the New Year's weekend.  But a few days before we were supposed to go, Aunt Jenny called and asked if we'd switch to Whistler instead.  I've never been to Whistler, so of course we all said yes!

Michelle and Scott have a condo right outside the village and we joined them, their kids Samantha and Jenna, and Uncle Rob & Aunt Jenny and cousins Ethan and Luke for several days to ring in the New Year.  We had so much fun!  The highlight was probably New Years Eve night...we rented a huge Snow Cat -- that was heated! -- to take us up the mountain to this private cabin in the snow.  There, we had a privately catered 3-course dinner of steak and salmon (well, of course, I had pureed beans & rice).  The cabin had no electricity so it was lit only by candlelight and warmed by a pot-belly stove.  Afterward, the Snow Cat came and picked us up to take us back down the mountain.  So cool!

I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating and I wish you all a super fun year!

Our Snow Cat is here!

By time we arrived at the cabin, I was asleep.  So Mommy made me a bed to nap in until dinner was ready.
